You Won’t Believe How Much Game of Thrones Stars Earn per Episode
So many TV shows exist, but only a few of them have managed to become popular across the globe. Who doesn’t love watching Friends, The Big Bang Theory, or The Simpsons? And, the most iconic shows in the world feature some of the highest paid actors who earn millions per episode.

Syndication has been extremely good to actors over the years, with many never having to work again if they don’t want to. If you consider the Seinfeld cast, only Dreyfus has worked consistently, while the others have struggled to be actors of any signifigance.
Jason Alexander, who I saw recently in The Portuguese Kid was aweful in it. He has tried sitcoms but none of which lasted too long.

One of such shows which had the fans go crazy since 2011 is Game of Thrones. Classified as a fantasy drama, the show is based on books written by George R.R. Martin. The characters were brought to life thanks to the amazing portrayal of the cast. The actors made sure that their audience enjoys the show and as a reward, they got to take home a pretty penny for playing some of the most iconic characters of all time.

Kit Harington as Jon Snow
Jon Snow is one of the leading characters and he appears at the very beginning of the show. Jon’s character earned the title of one of the “finest creations” by the author from The New York Times. He has also been at the center of many storylines and has intrigued all the viewers with the topic of his parentage.

Jon Snow seems to be an independent character, but he couldn’t have made it without the allies he made over the years as well as getting close to a character or two. Kit Harington, the man who portrays Jon Snow, has become a favorite actor for many all around the world. Thanks to this role, he got the opportunity to appear in several theater shows and movies. The actor is also one of the top paid GoT actors and gets to take home $500,000 for every episode.

Natalie Dormer as Margaery Tyrell – $100,000 – $200,000
Fans get to meet Margaery Tyrell in season two. This lovely character, sadly, made her departure in season six after she was killed in an explosion

When it comes to the novels, Margaery was a minor character. But, thanks to Natalie’s incredible acting skills, the show producers decided to make her one of the main characters. Similarly to Sophie Turner, Dormer earns between $100,000 and $200,000 per episode.

Aidan Gillen as Littlefinger
Petyr Baelish, better known as Littlefinger, becomes an immediate hit with the fans when he is introduced in the first season of the show. However, this doesn’t last for too long. Baelish is sly and he does his best to turn many of the other characters against one another. He is also prone to murdering all those who get in his way.

Many fans were relieved when Baelish got what he deserved. In season seven, Sansa and Arya joined forces to end his life and put a stop to his deceits. It takes true skill and talent to make the rest of the world hate you. And, that is exactly what enabled Aidan Gillen to earn between $100,000 and $200,000 per episode.

Conleth Hill as Lord Varys
Lord Varys, portrayed by Conleth Hill, might have been one of the minor and not so relevant characters in season one. However, it didn’t take long for his storylines to take off and have Hill promoted to one of the leading cast members.

Lord Varys is mostly seen serving others during the show, but many fans believe that there could be some major storyline development for this character in the final season of the GoT. Well, we will find out soon enough. Regardless of this, Hill still gets to take home between $100,000 to $200,000 for every episode he appears in.

Rory McCann as The Hound
The Hound, portrayed by Rory McCann, is one of the most feared characters in the show. He is known as one of the most skilled fighters. And, if we take into consideration his relationship with The Mountain, this character is definitely not the one to mess around with.

Many of us believed The Hound’s last appearance would be at the end of season four. Luckily, the producers granted The Hound a comeback in season six. In return, this enabled Rory McCann to earn an additional $100,000 to $200,000 per episode.

Iain Glen as Jorah Mormont
At the beginning of the show, Jorah was a spy who worked for Lord Varys. However, he met Daenerys and fell in love with her. Ever since than, Jorah became her loyal servant. Besides saving her life, Jorah also developed strong feelings and affection for Daenerys.

His unfortunate love story and his attempts to fight off an illness called greyscale, made Iain Glen one of the TV show favorites. As a reward, the actor earns $100,000 to $200,000 per episode.

Alfie Allen as Theon Greyjoy
Theon Greyjoy is one of the most prominent characters in the Game of Thrones books. George R. R. Martin often uses Greyjoy to tell his stories. The character is just as prominent in the TV series as he is in the books. At one point, Theon is initially taken hostage and spends the next few seasons being tortured and captured by other characters along the way.

Alfie Allen is the British actor who plays Theon. However, the fact that he is a member of the main cast was not enough to enable Allen to climb out of the “Tier C” characters. That is why his wage is $10,000 per episode.

Isaac Hempstead Wright as Bran Stark
At first it seemed that Bran Stark’s role would end in season one after he catches Jaime and Cersei who were romantically involved. As a result, Bran was pushed out of the window. At first it seemed that he would die, but Bran was only left crippled and soon became the Three-Eyed Raven.

Bran’s supernatural powers made him one of the crucial figures in the fight against the White Walkers and the Night King. But, despite Bran’s importance, his character is not as prominent as some others. That is why Isaac Hempstead Wright earns $10,000 an episode for his performance.

Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark
At the beginning of the show, it seemed that Sansa Stark would get to live happily ever after once she found her Prince Charming, Joffrey Baratheon. She was mesmerized by Joffrey after meeting him, but soon she learned what he was really like when Joffrey ordered her father’s execution right in front of her eyes.

While her role life might be full of heartache, actress Sophie Turner is quite lucky. Reportedly, she takes home between $100,000 and $200,000 for every episode she appears in. The reason why she earns less than the previously mentioned actors is because she play a “Tier B” character.

John Bradley as Samwell Tarly
Samwell Tarly is not one of those feisty characters. Still, he is forced to join the Night’s Watch after his father threatens him. Even though everyone made fun of him, Samwell proved that he is one of the characters who could help the Seven Kingdoms win the war thanks to his intelligence.

Samwell could have been in the line to become one of the lords of the Seven Kingdoms. However, his father’s disapproval of his lack of skills on the battlefield is what makes Sam go and train with the others. We don’t know whether John Bradley is as intelligent as Sam or a skilled warrior, but one thing is sure – his acting skills earn him $10,000 per episode.

Maisie Williams as Arya Stark
Arya Stark is Sansa and Bran’s sister and Jon Snow’s half sister. Playing a silly child at the beginning of the show, Arya’s character became incredibly popular in season two. She got to work The character became hugely popular with fans in season two when she got to plot against Charles Dance, who plays Tywin Lannister, and the entire Lannister family.

Maisie’s acting skills and the importance of her character got many wondering why she’s still among the “Tier B” actors earning $100,000 to $200,000 per episode. Could it be because of her age?

Liam Cunningham as Davos Seaworth
There are so many minor characters in Game of Thrones, and Davos Seaworth is perhaps the most popular among them. Also known as the Onion Knight, Davos started as an advisor to Stannis Baraheon. When Stannis died, this pirate-turned-knight decided to switch sides and support on Snow as Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch at first and then as the King in the North.

Being at Jon Snow’s side meant that Davos had to pledge allegiance to Daenerys as well. Seemingly a minor character, Liam Cunningham’s pay reflects Davos’s true importance. The actor earns $300,000 for every episode he appears in.

Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister
When it comes to wealth, it seems that Lena Headey was the perfect choice for the role of Cersei Lannister. Cersei becane the Queen of Seven Kingdoms once she married Robert Baratheon. Even though her father arranged this marriage, that didn’t stop her from having an incestuous relationship with her brother Jaime. And, Cersei’s wealth doesn’t end with the show since Lena earns $500,000 per episode

It seems as though love really does know no bounds after all. In fact, Cersei and Jaime havethree children together. All the ambition and power she portrays on screen granted Lena a nomination for a number of awards over the years. The actress won four Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe. Besides Game of Thrones, Lena also appeared in many movies, including the horror The Purge, and animated shows such as Trollhunters.

Nathalie Emmanuel as Missandei – $100,000
Missandei was introduced in season three and became an incredibly popular character among the Game of Thrones fans. What made Missandei an interesting character is the romantic subplot with Grey Worm. Oh, did we also mention that she is incrediblly intelligente and serves as a translator thanks to her mastery of languages.

When Daenerys freed the people of Astapor, Missandei joined her side and hasn’t left her since. Being Daenerys’s trusted advisor enabled Nathalie Emmanuel to appear in 34 episodes. And, Emmanuel is rewarded with $100,000 per episode for doing such a fine job of bringing Missandei to life.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister
Jaime has been one of the main characters since season one. His affair with his twin sister, Cersei, made some of the fans hate him from the very start. Jaime pushed Bran Stark out of a window when Bran caught the pair having an intercourse. Bran managed to survive but he had no recollection of the event.

The actor behind the character and his storylines is the popular Danish star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Nikolaj has been in the acting industry for many years before he gota part in Game of Thrones. Portraying Jaime brought Nikolaj worldwide fame. He is one of the five cast members who receives $500,000 per episode. However, rumor has it that his pay could be bumped up to $1 million as the last episodes are set to last much longer than the previous ones.

Natalia Tena as Osha
Natalia Tena is a very talented actress. She was best known for her appearance in the Harry Potter series. And, Game of Thrones certainly added to her fame. Tena played Osha, a wildling woman who ended up traveling with and protecting Bran Stark.

Unfortunately, it is unknown how much exactly was Tena paid for her time on Game of Thrones. However, we do know that thanks to her performances, she was able to ack up a decent net worth. In 2017, the Tena’s net worth was about $5 million.

Reportedly, everyone in the show is about to receive a pay rise before the final seasone and Gwendoline will get to earn between $100,000 and $200,000 per episode.

Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister
Tyrion Lannister has been with us since the first episode. As a member of the House of Lannister, Tyrion got to enjoy all the riches that come with being related to the wealthiest families in the land of Westeros. But, wealth and family name do not prevent the prejudice Tyrion receives for being a dwarf. Even though he might seem as careless and reckless at first, this character won the hearts of many fans with his loveable personality

Before starring in Game of Thrones, Peter Dinklage appeared in plenty of movies and TV shows. But portraying Tyrion brought him a whole new level of fame. And, Dinklage was one of the five actors who managed to negotiate a pay rise. Instead of $300,000, Dinklage will earn $500,000 per episode in the final season of the show.

Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen
Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons, was a weak and gullible character at the beginning of the show. But, as time went by her character and her importance in the show grew. Daenerys is portrayed by the lovely British actress Emilia Clark. Thanks to her brilliant acting skills, Clarke has received many nominations and awards.

As a reward for playing one of the most iconic characters of the series, Emilia also gets to take home $500,000 per episode throughout season eight, the final season of the show. Before the pay rise, Emilia was earning a staggering $300,000.

At the times when he was taking a break from Game of Thrones, Coster-Waldau got to appear in a few movies as well, including the Gods of Egypt (2016), Small Crimes (2017), and Shot Caller (2017). Thanks to these big screen roles and the role of Jaime Lannister, Coster-Waldau’s net worth in 2018 was $16 million.

Net Worth: Emilia Clarke – $13M
Emilia Clarke is one of the most talented and gorgeous actresses ever. Her role in Game of Thrones enabled Clarke to star in the well-known movie Me Before You. However, before Daenerys, Clarke was relatively unknown in the acting world.

Thanks to her portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen, Clarke is now one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood. Whether it’s her breath-taking smile or her acting skills, everyone seems to want to work with her. That’s why she has managed to garner a net worth of $13 million.

Kit Harington – total net worth of $12M
Kit Harrington is also one of the actors whose career got a boost after appearing in Game of Thrones. He plays Jon Snow, as if we need to remind you… However, before getting the role of a lifetime in this fantasy adventure TV show, Kit practically didn’t have any screen acting credits.

Now, he has a fan base who can’t imagine living without him. Even though Harrington’s time in the spotlight may have started not so long ago, he has managed to earn about $12 million.

Cersei Lannister is one of, if not even the most hated character on Game of Thrones. However, this only proves the amazing acting skills of the English actress Lena Headey.

Heade made a name for herself after appearing in two fantasy movies, The Brothers Grimm and 300. She continued to appear on the big screen and was also a part of movies such as Dredd and The Purge. That is why her fans were shocked when Lena stated that she had only $5 in her bank, after her messy divorce in 2013. But, an amazing actress that she is, Headey managed to bounce back and now has a net worth of $9 million.

Maisie Williams is yet another young but very talented actresses in Hollywood. We have no doubts that this talented actress will definitely be able to find work easily when her time on Game of Thrones comes to an end after the series finale in 2019.

She is probably going to be one of the most sought after young actresses as soon as her schedule opens up a bit. Thanks to playing Arya Stark on GoT, Maisie Williams is currently worth about $6 million.

Net Worth: Gwendoline Christie – $3M
When she was younger, this six-foot-two English actress had a dream of becoming a gymnast. Unfortunately, a back injury made her retire. That is when Gwendoline Christie decided to go for her backup career – acting. And, we’re pretty sure she has no regrets.

Apart from playing Brienne of Tarth, Christie was also lucky enough to land a role in possibly the only franchise bigger than Game of Thrones. We’re talking about Star Wars. Christie will play Captain Phasma in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. Since she’s relatively new in the acting world, Christie managed to earn only about $3 million by now.

Net Worth: Aidan Gillen – $8M
One of the veterans on Game of Thrones, Aidan Gillen convincingly portrays the sly Littlefinger. He is constantly coming up with schemes and plots until Sansa and Arya Stark finally find a way to bring him down.

Gillen was incredibly sad to leave the show he has been starring in for six years. But, this Irish actor has found some other things to do. He got a role in the sci-fi series Project Blue Book and is a part of four other projects which are already n various stages of production. We’re quite sure that all of these new roles will add to his net worth of $8 million.

Net Worth: Natalie Dormer – $6M
Aside from playing Margaery Tyrell on Game of Thrones, Natalie Dormer also appeared in other TV shows and movies as well. Dormer played Cressida in the last two Hunger Games movies, more precisely The Mockingjay (Part 1 and Part 2).

Despite these two popular roles, Dormer also has some minor roles behind her. But, we’re quite sure that GoT has opened many doors for this young actress. Thanks to all the roles she played, Dormer has earned around $6 million and probably has her sights set on much higher numbers in the future.
